Description
Content

In this book we discuss catalytic and non-catalytic chemical reactions that take place in a porous pellet. The target audience are advanced undergraduate or graduate students in the chemical engineering or in related areas. The goals of this book are to introduce the mathematical models used in describing the coupled heat and mass transfer with chemical reactions in the pellet, to explain the numerical or analytical methods for solving the model equations and to discuss the numerical results. All chapters are illustrated with IPython notebooks.
