They explore why people work hard to fit in to environments that they know are making them unhappy, and the sacrifices that people make to balance wanting to be happy with the need to for security.Past trauma meant that Dennis knew what he did not want from life, but he struggled to define what he did want. He explains to Michael the challenges involved in authentically defining what a happy life means to him.
